Katy Bennett

Katy is a singer, songwriter and community musician based in South Birmingham. She has considerable experience leading workshops with children and young people aged 5 upwards. She specialises in singing and songwriting workshops for young people with self-esteem, emotional & behavioural issues, with special needs and with those deemed ‘at risk’. Katy teaches singing aurally and in a relaxed and fun style.

A professional songwriter with three albums to her name, Katy is also one quarter of Birmingham folk band Little Sister. Fascinated by the therapeutic benefits of music, she will be training as a Music Therapist from September 2009.
